Thanks for waiting for me; I know I didn't make it easy. It'll hurt less in November when you can go to Barnes & Noble and buy a whole book of mine, I hope. "KELLY" rolls uninterrupted now for the rest of the year.

About that print: I'm leaning more towards the panel after that myself... anyone else care to sound off?

I don't really know where that came from but I laughed until I almost peed on my drafting stool; these three characters live in a small apartment in the back of my skull and constantly shout edits to my script while I am lettering.

that happens to me with every page of "Drocklerry" so I guess we're even steven.

did you compose a "KELLY" theme a few months ago? I was livin' at Mach 5 there for a few months and it registered but I never got to listen to it; could you pop me a link now that I have reverted to human form? (sorry for being crap about not getting back to you about it)

and I love how when really really examined, it's so much more than just a sex scene... but a purely integral plot development.

yes, this part is definitely more than a sex scene. there are no red herrings in "KELLY", no superfluous hinges; the swastika tattoo, "Ruby from Reception", Theresa's pistol, everything in good time. Remember, the whole story's been written for a year already.

Me too, Ken. I haven't had anything in print since EVERYMAN in 2004; I'm looking forward to holding copies of SHOOTING WAR come November... The book is going to be really pretty; I designed it too.

That punched-panel had another face on Max that really didn't work, with more contrasty shadows that were really moody... but not really the right mood; I was just about done with drawing the line art for the whole episode and Max's face didn't play what I wanted it to, so I went and re-shot myself and re-drew his expression to get THAT reaction from YOU.

I'm really happy it was worth the extra work :)
