You were BORN to draw this.

It occured to me that a framed, color print of this comic would make a great Bday gift for SBX...

My pokes are Freudian. It means I love you and I'm jealous of your talents.

You have the high-res file and a color printer, no?

How does one get themselves a copy of this comic?

People can order the comic book by e-mailing guiderequest@thirteen.org. They should put New Nature Comic in the subject line and include their complete mailing address.

Thanks for the timely and quick answer Josh.

I hope the rest of the work has the whimsy and quirkiness of yours.

Speaking of energy saving and preservation of energy, fuel, etc.

Have you seen Shell's quality film campaign?

Low Energy use yes, high Carbon Footprint too though.
CFLs are very difficult to safely dispose of.
Lots of nasty heavy metals, PCBs and suchlike in them

No escape.
We're all DOOMED!

Yeah, I heard teh same thing, these end up being just as bad in the long run... Ah well... Good comic, like the character talking to the reader about the issue, always classic.

In all seriousness, I think CFLs are a huge improvement over incandescent bulbs, in the long run and otherwise. See my lj post, http://4-eyez.livejournal.com/43313.html, for a complete discussion of the issue.

We're at about 50% compact florescent right now, and are replacing more as the incandescents go out.

The knock on CFLs that they're difficult to safely dispose of is also significantly mitigated by the fact that you aren't disposing of them at nearly as fast a rate or in nearly as much quantity as normal bulbs. Or so I assume. Real mathing hard.

exactly. the fact that you can use one cfl bulb for up to 3-4 years is an amazing improvement over incandescents
